ABOUT OSTEOPENIA & OSTEOPOROSIS
OVERVIEW
Aging is the most common risk factor for osteopenia. After your bone mass peaks, your body breaks down old bone faster than it builds new bone. That means you lose some bone density.
Women lose bone more quickly after menopause, due to lower estrogen levels. If you lose too much, your bone mass may drop low enough to be considered osteopenia.
Can osteopenia be reversed?
Osteopenia can be stabilized and even improved. Our goal is to identify your risk factors and change the ones we can.

ABOUT BIO-IDENTICAL HORMONES
Hormones are an important part of your body’s messenger system. These chemicals send signals to almost every part of your body. They control things like your mood, growth, and even body hair. Bio-identical hormones are man-made. They’re designed so your body uses them in the same way it does your own hormones, and can be very helpful for people who suffer from a hormonal imbalance or who might not make enough hormones naturally.
Without a proper balance of hormones, your body can go through unpleasant symptoms. Replacing the hormones you no longer produce with doctor-prescribed bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can reduce symptoms and help you achieve a better quality of life.
